Very cool Wii remote hacks

4/27/08

The Nintendo Wii is pretty awesome. Its motion-sensing abilities have brought new life to video games. But the Wii technology isn’t limited to gaming.

Johnny Lee is a graduate student a Carnegie Mellon University. He’s invented some cool uses for Wii remotes. He demonstrates two of them in this video. He’ll show you an inexpensive, interactive whiteboard. And you’ll see an amazing way to interact with your TV. You have to see the inventions to believe them.

-You can build Lee’s inventions at home. All you need is a Wii and a computer. Lee offers his programs and tutorials free. Just download them from his Web site.
