An aircraft carrier is a marvel of modern technology. It’s a seaborne airport carrying dozens of aircraft. It stands more than 20 stories tall. It’s manned by thousands of crew and airmen. It is literally a floating city. An aircraft carrier even has its own ZIP code.

One of the most dangerous areas is the flight deck. It’s covered in high-speed catapults, jet blast deflectors, arresting wires and more. Not to mention the dozens of aircraft on the move. It’s also an area filled with people.
