The Amazon rain forest is the largest in the world. It contains more plant and animal species than anywhere else on earth. And it covers an amazing 1.4 billion acres. The United States is only a little over 2.4 billion acres.

So, the Amazon is huge! It would be pretty easy to get lost there. And conversely, it would be pretty hard to be found in there. The Brazilian government discovered this firsthand.

Recently, an indigenous Amazon tribe was spotted from the air. This tribe is believed to have never been exposed to the outside world. You’ll see the first photos of this tribe in today’s Video of the Day.
