Solar eclipse
7/31/08A solar eclipse is one of the coolest things you’ll ever see. As many as five solar eclipses—most partial—happen each year. A total eclipse is still a rare event. In this Video of the Day, NASA experts discuss eclipses.
One of those rare total eclipses will happen tomorrow. The moon will completely block the sun. Unfortunately, you probably won’t be able to see it. It will be visible over parts of Canada, Russia and China.
If you can’t be there in person, NASA can help. It will broadcast the eclipse live from China. You can watch online through NASA TV. The broadcast starts at 6:00 a.m. EST. You won’t want to miss it.
