The car has undergone massive changes since its inception. We’ve seen different body types, engines, tires and headlights. But this Video of the Day covers something that has barely changed. That is, until now. I’m talking about the door.

A car door is pretty much the same across all models. There are crazy-looking exceptions. But those aren’t very functional. A new invention from Jatech actually seems useful. Instead of swinging out, the door folds under and into the car. It’s called a Rotary Drop Door.

You have to see it to understand it. But once you see it in action, you’re going to want one. Unfortunately, you can’t order one today. But keep an eye out. Maybe your next car will be this cool.
