This YouTube video features a frighteningly interesting plant. The Giant Amazon Water Lily seems mundane. But its daily life is actually very interesting.

The lily uses air-filled veins to rise from the Amazon River. Its protective spines fight off hungry fish. Once on the surface, it expands to over six feet wide. That surface is actually a habitat for other animals.
