This insightful YouTube video honors all who serve. That makes it a fitting video for Veterans Day. The holiday began as Armistice Day. It celebrated the end of World War I.

In 1953, a small-town shoe store owner decided to expand Armistice Day. He wanted it to celebrate all veterans. With the help of his U.S. Representative the proposition became a bill. In 1954, President Eisenhower signed it into law.
