This YouTube video features a hometown hero. Jason McElwain was an autistic high school student in Greece, NY. He has a passion for basketball. So, the school’s coach made him team manager.

McElwain assisted the team during practice and games. He got a surprise during his senior year. The coach added him to the roster for the last game. He could wear a uniform and sit on the bench. But the coach had something special in mind.

With a big lead late in the game, he sent McElwain in. The coach just wanted to give him a chance to play. But McElwain had a lot more in mind. Before long, the crowd was on its feet, roaring.
