This YouTube video is a little shocking. Bulletproof glass is a handy safety device. It protects everyone from bank tellers to presidents. You probably run across bulletproof glass everyday.

But there was a time when bulletproof glass was a novelty. Even today, stopping a bullet is an impressive feat. How impressive would it be in, say, the 1930s? How would you show off such an amazing product?

One husband and wife team did the unbelievable. He handled the rifle. She held the bulletproof glass… in front of her face! Do not try this yourself.
