Music Animation Machine
5/8/09This fascinating YouTube video will change how you see music. Stephen Malinowski was listening to a sonata by Johann Sebastian Bach. He was reading the sheet music as it played. Suddenly, the notes began to dance before his eyes.
The vision was delightful. And it set Malinowski on a 30-year quest to visualize music. He learned computer programming, and built the Music Animation Machine.
It allowed him to make a visual representation of music. It’s really fascinating to see. A complicated piece becomes easy to follow and appreciate. See it in action with another piece by Bach.
