This great YouTube video is an amazing example of stop-motion photography. In 1959, Olympus released a popular compact camera – The Pen. Fifty years later the company is introducing an updated version – The PEN EP-1.

This is actually a commercial for the PEN EP-1. But it is really fun to watch. It follows the life of one man through photos. The creators took more than 60,000 photos. Only around 10,000 made the cut.

There is no postproduction in this video. It’s all traditional stop-motion. That required another 1,800 shots. This took a lot of work. And you’ll really enjoy it.
