Today marks the eighth anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center. It was a shocking day for the entire nation. Those inside the buildings were put in unimaginable circumstances. Many died there.

But some made it out. Brave heroes saved many. Others became heroes themselves. Their stories are amazing. Several shared their personal experiences with the BBC.
