Card tricks are the bread and butter of every magic act. They’re usually the first things a magician learns. Most then move on to larger illusions, like making a tank disappear. But a really good card trick can be just as impressive.

Shawn Farquhar is a two-time World Champion of Magic. He can do amazing things with a deck of cards. He created a routine around Sting’s song Shape of My Heart. He cuts, shuffles and fans the cards with ease. But he keeps track of every card in the deck. I’ve watched this over and over. It’s bafflingly good every time.
