The best time to plan your Black Friday shopping is right now. Even if you're not going to be throwing elbows down at Walmart, you want to make sure there's money set aside for big purchases. Sure, it ruins the surprise a little, but who wants to be waiting in line for one thing then find out there's something even better across town? Deals are already beginning to leak out, even with Black Friday this far away. Here's five big deals we already know about on electronics and other tech goodies for Black Friday.
The Conjuring (2013)
Paranormal investigators and demonologists Lorraine and Ed Warren are in the midst of one of their most challenging, and terrifying cases yet. Based on a true story, this film depicts the Perrons and their five daughters, who recently moved into a secluded farmhouse only to discover a supernatural presence doesn’t want them there. While the disturbances are at first benign, they quickly escalate and threaten the lives of every member, and anyone who tries to interfere.
Interview with the Vampire (1994)
Adapted from a novel with the same name, this movie follows the story of an 18th century lord turned vampire Louis, portrayed by Brad Pitt. He tells a biographer his origins, and how he came to be turned by the other vampire Lestat, played by Tom Cruise. It’s an epic story of one vampire just trying to find meaning after everything he loves is destroyed.
Coraline is moving to a new home, and once she gets there, she can’t help but explore. Inside, she discovers a secret door that leads to a world very much like her own, but in many ways it’s better. But her mirror family don’t want her to leave. It’s up to Coraline to use all her resources and bravery to make it back home in this stop-motion classic.
Van Helsing (2004)
Hugh Jackman didn’t steal a loaf of bread this time, but he definitely has some adversaries to face in this monster movie. Get creeped out by vampires and werewolves and they vie for power, all while being hunted by Van Helsing. Along the way he encounters Anna Valerious and the two join together to destroy their common enemy.
Scooby Doo (2002)
Fully of hijinks and jokes, this movie brings the iconic mystery-solving dog to live action with talents such as Michelle Gellar from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and Rowan Atkinson. Scooby is at it again, but this time the gang isn’t working out so well. After their last mystery, everyone parted ways, only to be mysteriously called to the same island in search of a clue. Ruh-roh!
Children of the Corn (1984)
Originally a short story by Steven King, "Children of the Corn" follows a physician and his girlfriend driving across the Midwest to his new job. The trip comes to a sudden halt when they find the body of a murdered boy on the road. But not everything is as it seems as the couple head to town to contact the authorities. The children are out, and they are looking for blood.
